Based out of Shellharbour Airport on the South Coast of NSW, Fly Illawarra has been conducting recreational flying training and aircraft hire since 2008. The airport is located at Albion Park Rail, and is about an 80-minute drive from Sydney Airport or 60 minutes from Sydney’s southern suburbs.
There is a regular train service Sydney and Albion Park Rail on the South Coast Line (SCO). Fly Illawarra is a 10 minute walk from the station.
The airport is home to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum (HARS) and a regional base for Ambulance and Rural Fire Service emergency services.
